At Citi, we value internal mobility, and career growth is not a question of if, but when. Citi is looking for full-time analysts to join the Financing division in London. The Financing business works with our corporate and government clients to develop, structure, and implement financing packages to meet their capital needs. The division is comprised of over 20 different groups that provide many traditional Investment Banking experiences (managing client relationships and working with them to develop strategic and tactical financing plans), while also incorporating a heavy focus on the ever-changing markets, similar to Sales & Trading.

As a Financing Analyst, you will join an intensive training program, where you will receive in-depth education on a variety of these topics to learn the fundamentals of the analyst role, as well as an overview of Citi’s culture.

We’re committed to teaching you the ropes. The CM analyst program trains and grows key players in today’s changing economic environment and will equip you with the knowledge and training you need to help companies and governments raise capital in new and innovative ways. The analyst program starts in July and will kick off with six weeks of training.

Your time here will look something like this...

• Manage relationships with our fixed income and equity clients.

• Analyse clients’ capital structure needs and potential solutions.

• Develop a deep understanding of the bank and institutional investor universe and the trends that impact these pools of capital.

• Originate, structure and execute transactions for both strategic needs (e.g., IPOs and LBOs) and normal course refinancing.

• Originate, market, structure and execute fixed income and equity transactions.

• Learn how our many products can be used in concert to provide a fulsome solution to the client Manage overall fixed income and equity relationships.

• Manage dialogues and interactions with corporate clients.

• Demonstrate ways to limit interest rate and credit risk through the use of derivatives

We want to hear from you if...

• You are in your final year of University or have graduated

• Expected to achieve or have achieved a 2:1 (or equivalent) at undergraduate level in any degree discipline

• You are fluent in a 2nd language (this is desirable but not essential)

• You have an interest in business

Successful candidates will be offered a competitive salary. The role will be based at 33 Canada Square Canary Wharf - London, E14 5LB, United Kingdom.

This role currently offers a hybrid working model, with a mandatory three days in your assigned office, and an optional two days from home. Citi supports this business model, subject to business approval.

Candidates applying for this role must be aware that it is a Certified Role, subject to the FCA and PRA Certification Regime.

The Certification Regime is one element of the Individual Accountability Regime which came into effect on 7 March 2016.

Under the Certification Regime, Citi UK regulated entities (Citi entities) must ensure that employees working in certain roles categorised as specified significant harm functions (Certified Roles) are assessed as fit and proper to carry out their role.

Under the guidance provided by the FCA and PRA, firms should have regard to the following when assessing fitness and propriety:

• Honesty, integrity and reputation

• Financial soundness

• Competence and capability

In order to comply with the requirements of the Certification Regime, Citi entities must take reasonable care to ensure that an employee does not perform a Certified Role without first being certified as Fit and Proper. For this reason, you will be assessed for this role against the Fit and Proper requirements, as described above.

This assessment will be carried out through extensive interviews, self-disclosures, permitted criminal record checks, regulated reference checks, credit checks and other background screening checks.
