Our client, an iconic bar & restaurant in the heart of Glasgow City Centre, is seeking an exceptional General Manager to assume full operational leadership. This is a pivotal role for a hands-on leader who embodies excellence and is passionate about curating an unmatched guest experience in a luxury setting.

The successful candidate will become the strategic leader and public face of the venue. This role carries full P&L responsibility and the autonomy to uphold and elevate all aspects of the operation, from team culture to commercial performance and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide inspirational leadership, mentorship, and development for a dedicated front-of-house and bar team.
  • Act as the ultimate guardian of the guest experience, ensuring flawless service and managing client relationships with the highest degree of professionalism.
  • Drive commercial success through strategic financial management, including cost control, inventory, procurement, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Ensure operational excellence across all daily functions, maintaining impeccable standards of presentation, compliance, and safety.
  • Collaborate on the development of seasonal offerings, exclusive events, and private hire strategies to enhance the venue’s profile and profitability.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a proven track record of 3+ years in a General Manager or senior management role within a high-volume bar/restaurant.
  • Is a consummate host with impeccable personal presentation and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Possesses strong commercial acumen, with direct experience in P&L management, budgeting, and GP optimisation.
  • Is a hands-on operator, leading from the front and setting the standard in service.
  • Holds a valid Personal Licence and has a thorough understanding of Scottish licensing law.
  • Is deeply passionate about premium hospitality and Glasgow’s vibrant cultural scene.
