Oxford City Council’s Sustainability Team accelerates city-wide sustainability, particularly carbon emissions reductions and air quality improvements, by working with and for our partners across the city council and in and around the City of Oxford.

This interim role will lead the communication and engagement activity for waste and recycling projects, working across Oxford City Council, Oxford Direct Services and local communities to support the successful delivery of programme objectives. You will design, coordinate and implement communication and engagement approaches that ensure clear messaging, active involvement of key stakeholders and effective support for project delivery. You will also work alongside project leads to help maintain good governance through the preparation of programme materials, reporting and supporting working groups. If you are an excellent communicator who enjoys building relationships, organising information and helping teams work collaboratively to achieve positive environmental outcomes, this role will suit you.

For an informal discussion about the post please contact Maria Warner, Waste and Recycling Client Manager, mwarner@oxford.gov.uk.
