  • Manage machine control setup and operation, including 3D modelling and ensuring on-site accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with testing frequencies based on actual earthwork volumes and maintain excellent communication with QA and project management teams.
  • Monitor earthworks progress, accurately reporting weekly volumes to senior management.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure construction meets client requirements.
  • Provide accurate information to the Works Management to ensure timely project execution.
  • Prepare and submit weekly progress reports for review, contributing to financial CVRs and completion forecasts.
  • Assist in ensuring adequate plant, labour, subcontractor, and material resources are available to meet project timescales.
  • Support the procurement process, ensuring timely payment of suppliers and subcontractors, and monitor their performance, including financial aspects.
  • Identify potential problem areas and their financial impact, ensuring provisions are made within forecasts.
  • Assist in resolving contractual issues with clients and suppliers while maintaining good relationships.

Safety, Quality, & Environmental Compliance:

  • Ensure all activities are completed safely, adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist in preparing quality, environmental, and H&S construction plans.

Innovation & Team Development:

  • Support and promote innovation and new technology related to earthwork operations.
  • Mentor apprentice engineers to foster career progression and improve skill levels.
