Job Introduction

• Location: Lady Eleanor Holles Hanworth Road, Hampton, Middlesex TW12 3HF
• Rate of Pay: £14.80 per hour**
• Work Pattern: Monday- Friday 8am- 15:30
• Contract: Term Time Only 34.4 working weeks a year plus holiday

Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks, and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. Do you take pride in keeping kitchens clean, safe, and running efficiently? Join Sodexo as a Kitchen Porter at Lady Eleanor Holles, TW12 3HF and play a key role behind the scenes by maintaining cleanliness and ensuring equipment and workspaces are ready for service. You’ll provide key kitchen cleaning and front of house support to all areas of the catering/kitchen environment in order to provide a first-class food offer to our customers whilst adhering to current government legislation and school policy

What You’ll Do:

• Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans, trays, and all kitchen utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Ensure the dining hall is clean, organised, and ready for service
• Clean and maintain heavy kitchen equipment.
• Ensure all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas are always kept clean and hygienic
• Follow daily and weekly deep cleaning schedules
• Remove and dispose of waste and recycling correctly, ensuring bins are emptied and cleaned regularly and in a timely manner.
• Assist with basic food preparation (e.g. peeling, chopping) when required
• Unpack and store deliveries safely, ensuring proper stock rotation (FIFO)
• Restock clean kitchen equipment, crockery, and cutlery to service areas
• Comply with all Food Safety, Health & Safety, and COSHH regulations
• Report any faulty equipment or maintenance issues
• Support the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
• To report immediately any incidents of fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food or other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate or possible.
• To report any customer complaints and take action, if at all possible.
To attend any reasonable requests made by the Manager.
