Full job description

Due to ongoing growth, Spectrum has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and proactive Operations Manager to join our team as Site Cleaning Manager. This role, based on-site in Dalry, will partner closely with our Site Administrator and report directly to the Regional Manager.

What You'll Do

As Site Cleaning Manager, you'll be pivotal to our site operations and client relationships, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency across the facility. Key responsibilities include:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a dedicated cleaning team, ensuring high performance and a positive work environment.
  • Scheduling & Deployment: Oversee staff rotas and deployments, adapting to client needs and managing any ad hoc requests.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients and stakeholders, addressing their needs proactively.
  • Client Support: Handle client queries and requests efficiently, maintaining communication by phone and email.
  • Quality & Safety Assurance: Conduct regular quality audits, safety inspections, and enforce best practices across all activities and equipment.
  • Safety Advocacy: Lead daily and weekly safety talks, model safe behaviour, and address any unsafe actions.
  • Payroll & Reporting: Partner with the Site Administrator to accurately record and report payroll information.
  • Representation: Act as Spectrum's representative in client-led safety meetings, advocating for our standards and priorities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvement, driving high standards in everything we do.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who can lead by example, communicate effectively, and keep things running smoothly. Your qualifications and attributes include:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in management and supervising teams
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent team collaboration and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Proactive, professional approach with a background in cleaning management
  • Experience in industrial or factory settings
  • Audit experience and/or an H&S qualification (e.g., IOSH)
  • Confident handling of various stakeholders, including senior management, ensuring adherence to company standards

Ideal Candidate Profile: You're a confident leader who can work well with diverse teams and clients, keeping our operational standards high and our client relationships strong. Experience in a factory or industrial setting is beneficial, as well as health and safety training.

Additional Information:

  • Flexible Schedule: Monday to Friday with rotating shifts to ensure comprehensive management support. 40 hours per week, either 0600-1400 or 0800-1600 to ensure management coverage.
  • Safety Requirement: Due to site requirements, successful candidates may be subject to routine drug and alcohol testing
