Overview

The Head Housekeeper plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and overall presentation of the establishment.

This position is responsible for leading the housekeeping team, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and providing exceptional service to guests.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, particularly within the hotel industry, and possess excellent leadership skills.

Duties

  • Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
  • Manage and train housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimise efficiency.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery for guests.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints regarding housekeeping services in a professional manner.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the housekeeping department.
