We are currently looking for a full or part time Kitchen Assistant/Porter to join our team. Reporting to the Head Chef, the kitchen assistant will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen, and helping with food preparation tasks.

Main Responsibilities

• Cleaning to a High Standard in all areas of the kitchen as delegated by the Head Chef
• Assisting with the preparation of food as directed
• Adhering to a high level of health & hygiene practice
• Maintaining store rooms, fridges & freezers
• Putting away deliveries
• Completing Weekly Cleaning Tasks
• Plating up desserts in line with specifications
• Dish washing during lunch and dinner services
• Re-stocking, organising and maintaining a tidy workspace
• Deep Cleaning kitchen equipment - Ovens, Fryers, Grills, Floors, Fridges and Freezers

No experience needed, but you will need a good solid, 'get stuck in' attitude, and a good work ethic along with high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This position can be Full Time, but we will also consider part time applicants. We are open all year round and so can provide weekly pay, and reliable hours throughout the winter season.

The Role will be a split of evenings, weekend and Sunday Lunchtimes, on a weekly rota basis.

The pub is located in the village of Georgeham, and the buses are unreliable and stop at 6pm, so candidates without their own transport need not apply.
