Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented School Cleaning Supervisor to lead our cleaning team within educational environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily cleaning operations, ensure high standards of hygiene, and support a safe and welcoming school atmosphere. Must have supervisory experience.

Monday - Friday.

52 week school contract to include holiday deep cleans.

3pm - 6pm.

£14.45 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily cleaning activities within the school premises, ensuring all areas are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Lead, motivate, and support janitorial staff, providing guidance on cleaning procedures and safety protocols
  • Conduct regular inspections of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards
  • Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and monitor team performance to optimize efficiency and coverage
  • Maintain cleaning supplies inventory, order necessary materials, and ensure proper storage and usage
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations related to commercial cleaning practices
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to appropriate personnel

Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles, with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and safety procedures
  • Previous supervisory or team-leading experience in a cleaning or facilities management setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to school environments
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, organization skills, and effective communication skills
