Full job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a client who is looking for a reliable, organised and conscientious housekeeper for a long-term position within their household.

This is a lovely opportunity for an experienced housekeeper who is looking for a regular role where they can build a long-term working relationship with a family and become a valued part of their household.

The role is within a busy, high-end family home and involves a mixture of general housekeeping, cleaning, laundry and ironing.

The role will include:

  • General cleaning and housekeeping throughout the home
  • Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
  • Vacuuming, dusting and mopping
  • Changing beds and bed linen
  • Washing and changing towels and bath rugs
  • Regular laundry and ironing
  • Keeping rooms tidy and putting things back neatly
  • Cleaning inside appliances and other areas as required
  • Emptying bins and keeping cleaning cloths and supplies organised
  • Occasional deeper-cleaning tasks as part of the established household routine

The client has a clear and structured housekeeping routine covering Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with some tasks carried out weekly, fortnightly or monthly. A detailed checklist is provided to follow, so the successful applicant will need to be well organised, able to manage their time effectively and comfortable working independently.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Reliable and consistent
  • Experienced in housekeeping
  • Organised and able to manage their time well
  • Naturally tidy, with good attention to detail
  • Happy following a set routine but also able to use their own initiative
  • Comfortable with laundry and ironing as well as cleaning
  • Someone who takes pride in doing a thorough job
  • Looking for a long-term position and committed to building a lasting working relationship with the household
  • Available Monday, Wednesday and Friday 4 hours per day

What we offer:

  • Starting rate of £18 per hour
  • 12 regular hours per week, split over Monday, Wednesday and Friday
  • Long-term, ongoing position
  • Client provides all cleaning products and equipment
  • Public liability insurance for accidental damage
  • Payment directly from the client
  • Potential for additional work with other clients if you would like to build your hours
  • Support from our friendly and encouraging local team

You will need to have the right to work in the UK and be able to provide a valid share code where applicable.
