About the Role

I’m looking for a friendly, reliable and organised person to help look after our family home and provide after-school care for my 6-year-old son.

It’s a lovely, varied role that combines keeping the house clean, tidy and organised with spending time with my son after school.

Ideally, I’m looking for someone who enjoys taking pride in a home, is happy to get stuck into everyday household tasks and genuinely enjoys spending time with children.

Household Help (1:00pm – 3:15pm)

The first part of each afternoon will be focused on helping keep the house running smoothly.

This will include:

  • General cleaning and tidying around the home.
  • Keeping the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas clean and organised.
  • Laundry, changing bedding and putting clothes away.
  • Keeping cupboards, toys and household items organised.
  • Helping with everyday household tasks and making sure everything stays in good order.

I’d love to find someone who is naturally organised, happy to use their initiative and enjoys keeping a home looking lovely.

After-School Care (3:15pm – 5:30pm)

The second part of the afternoon will be spent with my 6-year-old son.

This will include:

  • Collecting him from school ( 1 mile from home)
  • Helping him with his homework, reading and learning.
  • Taking him to after-school clubs and activities.
  • Planning fun activities, games and outings.
  • Enjoying time outdoors, visiting parks and playgrounds.
  • Preparing an afternoon snack.
  • Making sure he’s happy, safe and having a great afternoon.

He’s at a brilliant age, so I’d love someone who can make the afternoons enjoyable, encourage his interests and help him learn and develop.

About You

I’m looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, kind, patient and trustworthy.
  • Organised and happy helping around the house.
  • Fun, enthusiastic and confident with children.
  • Reliable and able to work independently.
  • Happy to help with homework and educational activities.
  • A confident driver with a full UK driving licence.

Previous experience in housekeeping, childcare, nannying or working with children would be an advantage.

References and a satisfactory DBS check will be required.
