Albert’s Standish is a popular, high-energy restaurant, bar, and events venue committed to offering exceptional hospitality and standard-setting experiences. We are currently looking for a reliable, hard-working, and experienced Head Cleaner to lead our cleaning team and keep our venue looking pristine.

Key Responsibilities

As Head Cleaner, you will take ownership of maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the entire venue. Your role will involve:

  • Venue Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the restaurant, bar, and event spaces to a consistently high standard.
  • Team Management: Overseeing and managing a team of approximately six cleaners, ensuring everyone works efficiently and productively.
  • Scheduling & Rotas: Managing daily cleaning schedules, identifying ad-hoc deep-cleaning tasks, and planning shift rotas and recruitment needs alongside the General Manager.
  • Facility Oversight: Proactively identifying and reporting any venue maintenance or repair issues to management.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience in a professional cleaning background, with prior experience managing or supervising a team.
  • Flexibility: Able to adjust working days as operational needs require and cover busy periods.
  • Commute: Must have a reliable way to travel to Albert’s Standish for early morning starts.
  • Availability: Must be available to work weekends and Bank Holidays.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern

  • Hours: 25 hours per week (5 days per week)
  • Shift Times: Typically 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM or 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • Weekend & Holiday Work: Weekend availability is required, as well as availability on Bank Holidays.
