Full job description

Cleaning Operative required for a cleaning and grounds maintenance company based in Mitcham, to join one of our mobile cleaning teams.

The role of Mobile Cleaner will include:

  • General cleaning duties to include vacuuming and sweeping, wiping down and sanitising surfaces, dusting at low and high levels, cleaning internal glass, mopping floors, cleaning toilets, bathrooms, shower rooms, kitchens and other rooms and removal of rubbish and debris and on occasions bulk items. You will need to be able to carry equipment up and down stairs
  • Undertaking regular risk assessments to identify and report potential hazards or faults on site, to maintain a safe environment
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of allocated work using our web-based cloud system
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a good, workable condition and stock levels are maintained
  • Providing a professional, courteous and customer friendly approach to all working tasks

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is essential
  • Some practical experience in operating cleaning machinery
  • Basic working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Be a team player with a flexible approach
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workload
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.

42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Starting at 6.30am. 4 weeks A/L entitlement excluding bank holidays. Enrolment onto the Nest pension scheme.

We are an established company and require hard working staff to join our team. Successful applicants will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS. Disclosure expense will be met by the employer, but if you leave within 3 months this will have to be repaid.
