Join Our Team as a Dry Cleaning & Domestic Laundry Manager
We’re looking for an experienced, hands‑on leader to oversee our dry cleaning and domestic laundry departments. If you’re passionate about quality, efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer service, this is your opportunity to take ownership of a key operational role within a respected, long‑established laundry business.

About the Role

As our Dry Cleaning & Domestic Laundry Manager, you’ll be responsible for the smooth running of daily operations, ensuring garments and household items are processed to the highest standards. You’ll lead a dedicated team, manage workflow, maintain equipment, and uphold all health & safety requirements.

This is a fast‑paced, practical role suited to someone with strong organisational skills, technical garment‑care knowledge, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily dry cleaning and domestic laundry production
  • Lead, train, and support staff to achieve consistent performance
  • Maintain high standards of quality, stain removal, finishing, and presentation
  • Manage customer enquiries, special requests, and service issues
  • Ensure safe operation and maintenance of all equipment
  • Maintain compliance with COSHH, fire safety, manual handling, and PPE procedures
  • Monitor stock levels and order chemicals, detergents, and consumables
  • Oversee garment tagging, tracking, and workflow systems
  • Maintain accurate operational records and reports
  • Lead marketing/social media advertising campaigns and ideas

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in management duties
  • Experience in dry cleaning, garment care, or commercial laundry - not essential
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality focus
  • Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of spotting, stain removal, pressing, and finishing techniques
  • A proactive, problem‑solving mindset
  • Experience with working with the elderly
  • Good telephone skills
  • Not bothered about getting their 'hands dirty' with customers dirty clothes and laundry
