Job Title: Domestic Services Staff Member

Location: Tigh Na Muirn Ltd, Monifieth

Employment Type: full-time(5 days from 7 including weekends)

Salary: £12.71 p/h

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a diligent and motivated Domestic Services Staff Member to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment within the care home, ensuring the comfort and safety of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out cleaning and housekeeping duties to the highest standard in residents' rooms, communal areas, and other designated spaces.
  • Ensure all cleaning materials and supplies are used safely and responsibly.
  • Support the implementation of infection control measures and health and safety policies.
  • Assist with laundry services as required, including washing, drying, and ironing residents' clothing and linens.
  • Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the management promptly.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents and staff, promoting a supportive and friendly atmosphere.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a domestic or housekeeping role, preferably in a care or healthcare setting (not essential but desirable).
  • A good understanding of health and safety regulations and infection control practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate attitude towards residents.
