About The Role

Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for an experienced Housekeeper/Cleaner to join our award-winning team at Kitnocks House. Kitnocks House, is a 63-bed service providing high quality care across 4 specialised units supporting residents with varying complex care as well as providing a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole person and their unique challenges, rather than just the diagnosis. We are currently rated Overall Good with CQC.

What do you need?

  • Positive attitude to residents and a commitment to provide high standards of housekeeping
  • Ability to work alone as well as part of a team and be able to form positive relationships with colleagues, residents and families
  • 6 months experience in a similar role and / or experience in a care environment

What hours will you work?

Week 1 - 3 days, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 08.00 to 18.00

Week 2 - 4 days, Monday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday: 08:00 to 18:00

Total average of 35 hours worked per week.

What will you be doing?

  • Responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the home
  • You will vacuum, polish and mop floors and ensure the up-keep of all communal areas and residents’ bedrooms
  • You will receive training to understand health and safety issues and the use of chemicals that we use and any equipment that you need to use
  • Checking equipment is stocked, clean and ready for the next day
  • Although you will not be delivering direct care to our residents, you will have a responsibility to ensure our residents are kept happy while cleaning

Residents who live in our homes primarily have a neurological degenerative condition such as Dementia with an underlying mental health condition which makes them unsuitable to live in dementia care homes or residential care homes for the elderly.

We currently have 4 homes based in Waterlooville, Curdridge, Mytchett & Wincanton and are in the process of building a new service in Bristol due to open in early 2025.
