Job Overview
IHP Ltd is a poultry abattoir and is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Night Cleaning & Hygiene Supervisor with hands on experience to oversee our night cleaning and disinfection operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that all cleaning & hygiene tasks are performed to the highest standards to meet food safety standards and legal regulations, manage a team of cleaners, and maintain a safe and efficient working environment. This role is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities during the night shift.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff during the night shift. Provide hands-on support to the cleaning team.
• Ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to company & legal standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure cleanliness and disinfection to ensure microbiological limits are not breached.
• Provide training and support to new team members on cleaning procedures, COSHH, GMP and equipment usage. Refresher training for employees on a regular basis.
• Disposing of waste in the appropriate manner to meet legal requirements
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary. Report any faults or deficiencies in timely manner to relevant department and follow up on any actions
• Address any issues or complaints from staff or clients promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, staff attendance, performance, and any incidents that occur during the shift.
• Promote a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and communication among staff.
• Any other reasonable management requests

Qualifications

· Previous experience in a supervisory / manager role within the manufacturing [food] cleaning industry is preferred.

· Engineering background in a manufacturing setting.

· Knowledge of food safety regulations and legal requirements.

· COSHH qualification.

· Preferably IOSH or NEBOSH certified

· Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.

· Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.

· Good organisational skills with attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Own vehicle is required

Schedule

Monday to Friday between 17:30-05:30

Some Saturday cleaning required [to meet production requirements]
