Role: Housekeeping Supervisor

Location: La Fontana Nursing Home, Martock

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 09.00-17.00, includes alternate weekends.

Salary: £12.00 per hour (+ £2 p/h overtime enhancement)

We at Notaro Care Homes, are searching for a thorough and organised, natural leader to join our wonderful team at La Fontana Dementia Nursing Home. As the Housekeeping Supervisor at La Fontana, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, in line with Infection Control and Health and Safety guidelines.

THE ROLE

• Leading by example, you will oversee the Housekeeping Team; organising staff allocation, new staff inductions and staff supervisions
• You will ensure staff are familiar with relevant legislation and aware of their responsibilities during an outbreak
• Completing 4 weekly duty rotas for the Housekeeping Team, ensuring the home is adequately staffed
• Ensuring the Housekeeping Team have appropriate cleaning materials
• Consulting with residents on a regular basis to ensure their needs and choices are being met
• Auditing the home, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout and keep records of this
• General cleaning of designated areas of the home
• Reporting repairs as necessary

THE RIGHT PERSON

• Will have experience working in a similar setting
• Will be prepared to train and complete required qualifications for the post
• Will be able to demonstrate the ability to work both as a team member and on own initiative
• Will demonstrate a loyalty, flexibility and commitment to the Care Home
• Will carry out any other necessary duties as agreed with Directors/Operations Team
• Should have experience of leading a team
