Full job description

Job Summary
We are looking for a cleaner for one of our schools in Whitchurch HP22 4JG.

making sure all the daily duties are carried out to a high standard.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday anytime after 3.30pm if you have a DBS or start time is 6pm ( if you don't have a DBS we can apply for one for you)

2.5 hours each per day. This job can be shared with another cleaner, x2 1.15 hours each day.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various settings, ensuring that all areas are tidy, organised, and welcoming.

Duties

  • Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
  • Clean and sanitise classrooms, toilets, kitchens, and communal areas.
  • Ensure all surfaces are wiped down and disinfected regularly.
  • Remove waste and recycling materials in accordance with company policies.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
  • Follow established cleaning procedures and protocols to maintain health and safety standards.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects as required.

Skills

  • Attention to detail: Ability to notice areas that require cleaning or maintenance.
  • Time management: Capable of prioritising tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Physical stamina: Ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods, including lifting and moving items as necessary.
  • Reliability: Punctuality and dependability in completing assigned duties consistently.
  • Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Previous cleaning experience is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
