Pay Rate: £13.38 per hour
Hours: Open to discussion, includes weekends
Location: The Story of Emily, St Ive, Liskeard

The Story of Emily is a living and immersive exhibition, set within the restored ground of The Rectory, the family home of Emily Hobhouse. It aims to tell the treasured tales of Emily Hobhouse’s life, and her humanitarian work, as well as offering an inclusive view of the Anglo-Boer War and her continued fight for women’s rights. It also invites the visitor to reflect on the universal complexities of any war and its effect on society and civilization

What we’re looking for

Our Cleaner is responsible for ensuring that a designated area or environment is kept clean, safe, and hygienic.

Typical duties may include:

  • Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, equipment, and facilities according to established standards and procedures.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of our production facilities
  • Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and pressure washers.
  • Disposing of waste and recycling materials in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  • Following health and safety guidelines to minimise the risk of accidents or injuries.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintaining records and documentation related to cleaning activities and schedules.

Skills and Experience

  • Cleaning experience in a food facility would be an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good attention to detail, planning and organisation
  • Ability to make independent decisions, working on own or within in a team
