Job summary

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-focused housekeeper to take care of Rufus’ Roost, our luxury treehouse at the multi-award-winning Baxby Manor near Husthwaite.

The regular hours are Mondays and Fridays from 10am until approximately 3pm, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking for work that fits around the school day.

You don’t need previous housekeeping experience, as full training will be provided. What matters most is that you’re dependable, take pride in your work and understand the importance of getting every little detail right for our arriving guests.

This is a self-employed role offering a good rate of pay within a friendly and supportive team.

Duties

  • Cleaning and preparing the treehouse to a consistently high standard between guest stays Making beds and presenting bedrooms beautifully Thoroughly cleaning bathrooms, the kitchen and living areas Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and cleaning interior surfaces Replenishing guest supplies and ensuring everything is ready for arrival Checking that furnishings, equipment and finishing touches are correctly presented Reporting any damage, maintenance issues or missing items promptly Working with the wider housekeeping team when required

About you

  • Reliable, punctual and able to commit to Mondays and Fridays Excellent attention to detail Proud of producing work to a genuinely high standard Able to work independently while also being part of a friendly team Positive, practical and willing to learn Comfortable undertaking an active, hands-on role in a multi-level property Previous housekeeping experience is welcome but not essential Your own transport and the ability to drive are strongly preferred due to our rural location
