We have an opening for a cleaning operative to join our team at our site in Bristol.
The hours are 39.25 per week,
Shifts can be both days 7am – 7pm or nights 7pm – 7am.
There is a pre-planned shift pattern
Paid 1 hour break
As a shift operative within the hygiene team, it is your responsibility to ensure the facilities, equipment and infrastructure on site are cleaned to high standards, whilst maintaining a safety-first approach. The ideal candidate will have experience in a cleaning role, preferably industrial, with high standards, good attention to detail and a willingness to work to rigorous procedures.
This role predominantly focuses on the production area ensuring equipment, drains, floors, stairs etc are cleaned to a high standard. This role focuses on ensuring all glass fragments are removed from floors, drip trays and equipment on and within the production lines.
This is a demanding role requiring good physicality as well as remaining alert to details in a heavily audited and busy factory environment.
A genuine enthusiasm for hygiene coupled with a positive attitude is essential.
Written and verbal English skill is essential
Own transport for this site is essential
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Floor cleaning, walls, stairs, drains, drip trays under conveyors, balers, waste bins.
- Maintaining glass and general cleaning equipment to specified standard.
- Adhering to colour coding of cleaning tools.
- Adhere to all ISM and client health and safety rules and requirements.
- Wear any required personal protective equipment (PPE) or site-specific clothing as directed.
- Use a variety of manual cleaning equipment and chemicals as directed.
- Operate high powered cleaning equipment such as high pressure hoses.
- Use of LPG and battery cleaning machines.
- Record all cleaning tasks as directed.
- Maintain good relations with client staff, contractors, and visitors to the site.
