We are seeking a permanent Caretaker to maintain a portfolio of Social Housing sites around Erith, Woolwich, Sidcup and Thamesmead. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting others and maintaining a clean, organised space..
You must have a full UK Driving Licence, but Company Vehicle is provided.
This role is Full-time, Monday to Friday (37.5 per week, inclusive of breaks)
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents, clients, or visitors.
- Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning rooms, common areas, and bathrooms.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, repairing small items, and managing waste disposal.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents as needed.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding, if required.
- Monitor and report on residents' health and well-being, including noting any changes in condition.
- Ensure the premises are properly maintained, organized, and secure.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and other household items.
What are we looking for?
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Proven experience as a Caretaker, Housekeeper, or similar role.
- IT literate (use of tablet, smart phone apps).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a caring attitude toward others.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety standards.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform light manual tasks.
