Full job description

We’re looking for a brillliant Head Housekeeper to come and lead the housekeeping team at Updown. You’ll need to have exceptional attention to detail and levels of cleanliness, real drive and love working with and leading people.

Updown is a beautiful and luxurious hotel and a truly special environment to work in. The site has 6 bedrooms (soon to be 10) and the focus is on high level's of attention to detail as opposed to turning over 30 or 40 rooms.

This role is for daytime working and very competitive rates of pay.

Main responsibilities:

-Managing and assigning tasks to the junior housekeepers

-Making sure the days tasks are completed within the time frame allocated

-Organising the BOH hotel areas on a daily basis

-Taking on board and passing along feedback from the owners and operations director

- Cleaning bedrooms & communal areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, making beds etc.) to an exceptionally high standard

- Changing, organising & counting linen in and out

- Maintain inventory of stock: toiletries & consumables

- Notify management of damage/maintenance issues

- Having knowledge of appropriate cleaning products, processes and H&S

We’re set in a rural location, so your own car or reliable alternative is required

Hours available from Monday- Sunday, usually from 10am - 4pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
