Fountain Foods Limited are prepared vegetable specialists supplying a range of chilled and frozen processed fruit and vegetables.

Onsite we can slice, dice, puree, batter, fry, freeze, chill and peel a wide range of vegetables.

Hygiene Operatives are responsible for providing an inhouse cleaning service to all of Fountain Foods Production areas as required by the documented cleaning schedules set out in our Quality Management System. Priorities for daily/nightly cleaning will be set by the Hygiene Manager as not all equipment is used every day. Routine cleaning will focus on food processing equipment and in particular food contact surfaces. Other areas including High Level, Chill and Ambient Storage Buildings will also fall within the remit of the Hygiene Team. Specialist cleaning may also be necessary on our Industrial Fryer and Spiral Freezer for which full training will be provided.

· All cleaning tasks must be conducted following the guidelines laid out within our Hygiene Instruction Cards which provide details of the equipment, type of cleaning chemicals required and method of cleaning and what the key inspection points are after cleaning.

· The standard of cleaning required is ‘Visibly Clean’ but random swabs are taken from key areas by the technical team and feedback will be provided to promote continuous improvement.

· Some equipment will require dismantling prior to cleaning to ensure effective hygiene and you will be required to reinstate equipment back to a condition where it is ready for production. In some instances, Conveyor Belts and Elevator Belts will require regular removal to facilitate deep cleaning to hidden surfaces and liaison with Engineers will be necessary.

· All cleaning tasks completed must be recorded at the end of each shift on the relevant cleaning schedule sheets for each area. These forms must be filled in accurately and handed into the Hygiene Manager each day for checking and signing.
