About UK Wind Services

UK Wind Services is a fast-growing, independent onshore wind company based in Stamford, Lincolnshire. We work with asset owners & contract providers across the UK, keeping turbines turning and clients happy. We're not a faceless contractor agency — we're a close-knit technical team that does the job properly.

The Role

We're looking for experienced Authorised Technicians to join our team on an ongoing self-employed basis.

You'll lead small teams of CTs on site, own the technical decision-making, and be the primary point of contact between the field and our management team. We'll make sure you're properly equipped and accommodated — this is high-responsibility work and we treat it that way.

What We Provide

  • Company van if required (for site deployment)
  • Full climbing kit and PPE
  • Accommodation when site is away from home
  • Clear scopes of work with full back-office support
  • Competitive rates
  • A management team that understands the technical realities of the job

Essential Requirements

  • Current, valid GWO Basic Safety Training & Advanced Hub Rescue
  • Full UK driving licence (clean preferred)
  • Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSRs)
  • Experience working on Vestas, Siemens or Gamesa Turbines and hold authorisations on these platforms
  • Proven experience leading maintenance teams on onshore / offshore wind farms
  • Confident fault diagnostics and technical decision-making under pressure
  • Excellent communication — able to brief teams and liaise with site management

Pay: £50,000.00-£90,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Company car
  • Housing allowance

Work Location: In person
