Patient Services Administrator - South Warwickshire GP Federation

Location: Gainsborough Hall – Hybrid
Contract: Zero Hours & fixed-term contracts.
Salary: £12.71 per hour

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Patient Services Administrator to join our Patient Services team.

You will provide administrative support across our Primary Care Gynaecology and Dermatology services, helping to ensure patients receive a professional, efficient and compassionate service.

The role will involve reviewing and processing referrals, contacting patients, arranging appointments and responding to enquiries from patients, GP practices, clinicians and other healthcare professionals.

You will work closely with the Service Delivery Manager, Service Leads and wider clinical teams to ensure patient pathways run smoothly and administrative records are accurate and up to date.

Key responsibilities

  • Processing referrals accurately and efficiently
  • Contacting patients and arranging appointments
  • Responding to patient, GP practice and stakeholder enquiries
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and electronic systems
  • Providing general administrative support, including filing, scanning and correspondence
  • Handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our clinical services
  • Contributing to service improvements and quality initiatives
  • Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative colleagues

Experience

Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role is essential, including experience of dealing with members of the public.

Experience within a GP practice, NHS or healthcare environment would be desirable, as would experience using patient or clinical systems such as EMIS, appointment booking systems or reception/telephone services.

Training or experience in NHS administration, medical terminology or customer service would also be advantageous.
