As we continue to grow internationally, we’re looking for a Medical Journey Experience Editor to join our Learning team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the experience of future medics by creating engaging, inspiring and high-quality educational content that supports students throughout one of the most important journeys of their lives.
Overview
Are you familiar with the medical applicant’s journey - or better still, have you experienced it yourself? Are you passionate about creating engaging content that inspires, supports and teaches others? Are you equally comfortable coordinating complex projects, managing multiple priorities and keeping work on track?
Reporting to the Learning Manager and working closely with teams across Medify, including Product, the Medical Journey Experience Editor is responsible for developing, maintaining and delivering content that supports students throughout their application journey - from choosing medical schools and preparing personal statements to interview preparation and beyond.
This is a varied role combining high-quality content creation with strong project management. You’ll coordinate multiple concurrent projects, manage freelance contributors and collaborate across teams to ensure exceptional learning content is delivered accurately, consistently and on schedule.
You’ll play a key role in shaping resources for students across the UK, Australia, New Zealand and future global markets, helping thousands of aspiring doctors achieve their goals.
Main Duties & Responsibilities

- Audit and continually enhance Medify’s medical applicant journey through engaging written and visual content.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contributors to create a consistent and high-quality customer experience.
- Partner with Product to ensure new features are supported with best-in-class educational content, including medical school interview preparation.
- Help create a seamless and inspiring learning journey for students from application through to medical school.
Content & Curriculum Management
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the medical school application journey and the diverse pathways students may take.
- Write, commission and edit engaging content covering:
- Medical school interviews
- Admissions guidance
- Work experience and volunteering
- Events and courses
- Develop and maintain Medify’s global database of medical school profiles.
- Ensure content remains accurate, engaging and aligned with student needs.
Project Management & Collaboration
- Manage the production workflow, quality assurance and delivery of multiple editorial projects.
- Coordinate and support a network of freelance authors, illustrators and copy editors.
- Take ownership of the quality and output of learning content produced by your freelance team.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to communicate industry and product updates while curating content for Medify’s newsfeed.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Dentistry or Education.
Desirable
- Postgraduate qualification in Medical Education (PGCert, PGDip, MSc or equivalent).
- Fellowship or Membership of a recognised Medical Education body (e.g. FHEA or FAcadMEd).
- Experience in medical school interviews, clinical teaching or curriculum development.
Experience & Knowledge
We’re looking for someone who has:
- In-depth knowledge of the medical school application journey (first-hand experience is a significant advantage).
- Experience coordinating digital content production.
- Strong project management skills.
- Knowledge of instructional design or curriculum development (desirable).
- A passion for creating engaging educational content that genuinely supports aspiring medical students.
Skills
You’ll thrive in this role if you are:
- Student-focused, with a passion for improving the customer journey.
- A natural storyteller who can create engaging, inspiring and informative content.
- Creative, with enthusiasm for exploring new ideas and emerging technologies, including AI.
- Highly self-motivated, organised and comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment.
- An excellent collaborator, able to work effectively across teams and manage external contributors.
- Commercially aware and able to balance educational excellence with business priorities.
- Skilled at managing multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Adaptable, proactive and excited by continuous improvement.
