Full job description

Clinical Auditor – Functional Specialist (PIP) team.

Nurse, Paramedic, Physio, or Occupational Therapist with experience and currently working as a Disability assessor / Functional Specialist carrying out assessments for Personal Independence Payment (PIP). This is a new opportunity to progress your career with a leading, multinational organisation in a senior role with further opportunities.

Home based role with flexibility to attend venues across NI & GB, overnight stays may occasionally be required.

Responsibilities

· Clinical Auditor plays a key role within the Business by quality checking (auditing) Assessments written by Functional Specialist (FS) to the standards set by the in-house Clinical Governance Team and in accordance with the PIP Assessment Guide.

· Where required the Functional Specialist Quality will provide appropriate written audit feedback to support the Functional Specialist on-going learningand development. In addition to the quality checking processes the and may provide support via telephony, virtual or face-to-face activities.

· To maintain a comprehensive and topical understanding of PIP and Clinical Guidance Notes emanating from the Clinical Governance Team, pro-actively seeking clarity if required.

· As part of the audit feedback process to recognise strengths in the written reports making specific reference in the feedback

· To continue to undertake PIP assessments 10-20% of time

Requirements

· Current experience working as a PIP assessor or Quality Specialist holding active DWP approval and employed as an Assessor for 16+ months’

  • To be an experienced UK registered Health Professional with a minimum of 1+ years post-registration experience and currently working as a PIP Assessor / Functional specialist such as Nurse / Paramedic / Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist.
  • Currently hold DWP approval as an Assessor
  • To have demonstrable IT skills as the process involves using bespoke IT systems.

· To have an in-depth knowledge of the physiological, pathological, social and cultural issues which underpin the PIP assessment criteria and attention to detail.

· To have a working understanding of clinical governance.

Quality training will be provided, and hours of work will be during the day from Monday to Friday.
