Education Practitioner Health Care Support Worker Development

We are seeking an enthusiastic and diligent Education Practitioner, someone who understands that people and values come first and can motivate colleagues through a shared vision to deliver the highest quality workforce within our busy organisation here at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join the Workforce Development Team providing stretch, growth and challenge for the successful candidate.

The Workforce Development Team are a multiple national award-winning team and have a shared purpose to always act with integrity, to embody professionalism and empower each other to achieve success.

The team strives to inspire and shape our health care support worker workforce through role modelling Leeds Way Values and behaviours, delivering high quality educational programmes and providing pastoral support.

• The post holder will advocate for and promote an open, inclusive dialogue ensuring psychological safety with compassionate leadership. We continue to showcase and develop the fundamental roles of our health care professionals, celebrating their daily contribution to patient safety and experience.
• The post holder will play an essential role supporting the corporate education team, and clinical service units by facilitating education, training and practice development to establish a high standard of education for all unregistered healthcare practitioners and learners.
• The post holder will work in partnership with nursing, midwifery and allied health professionals and clinical educators across inter professional disciplines to plan and facilitate educational programmes. They will be responsible for the organisation and delivery of practical and theoretical clinical training programmes to support attainment of clinical competencies in the clinical area.
• The post holder will be able to thrive in a challenging and fast paced environment, actively lead monthly high-volume recruitment cycles and be comfortable with continual improvement and change management processes.

You will bring expertise and enthusiasm for education, curriculum design and competency-based learning, with the ability to develop and redesign education programmes that respond to the evolving needs of our workforce. You will be confident in translating learning needs and professional standards into clear, structured and meaningful learning pathways, ensuring education is relevant, inclusive and supports colleagues to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence required for their roles.

You will bring a creative, evidence informed and improvement focused approach, working collaboratively with colleagues and subject matter experts to review existing provision, identify opportunities for improvement and develop robust competency frameworks and learning resources. Above all, you will be passionate about creating high-quality learning experiences that support workforce capability, career development and safe, effective patient care.
