Clinical Lead Nurse (Children and Adults)
Location: North West (community-based )
Salary: £40,000-£44,000 per annum (DOE)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Driving licence required

Secure Healthcare Solutions is expanding its Complex Care division and we are looking for a Clinical Lead Nurse with strong complex care experience. The role involves supporting children and adults with high-acuity needs in the community and providing clinical leadership across multiple packages.

We deliver 24-hour community complex care to individuals with tracheostomy, ventilation, PEG/NJ feeding, stomas, oxygen therapy, neurological conditions, ABI, spinal injuries and long-term health needs. This is a hybrid role combining community visits, clinical oversight and staff support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical oversight for children’s complex care packages (priority caseload), with additional involvement in adult packages
  • Support and supervise field staff, nurses and care teams
  • Complete clinical assessments, competency checks and observations of practice
  • Attend family meetings, MDT discussions, CCG reviews and case management meetings
  • Conduct audits, spot checks, incident reviews and clinical governance tasks
  • Ensure care plans, risk assessments and documentation remain accurate and safe
  • Support the mobilisation of new packages including assessments, introductions and onboarding
  • Identify training needs and support ongoing clinical skill development
  • Escalate risks, concerns and safeguarding matters when required

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RSCN or RGN)
  • Paediatric experience essential; ICU or HDU experience preferred
  • Experience with tracheostomy, ventilation, PEG/NJ, stoma care and high-acuity interventions
  • Community complex care experience desirable but not essential
  • Ability to lead, supervise and support clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with families and MDT professionals
  • Ability to work flexibly according to service demands
