Job Title: Clinical Psychologist – Autism & ADHD Assessments
Location: Remote with some in person visits to your nearest Autism Assessment Hub
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 FTE depending on experience

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic assessment team. This role is ideal for a clinician with a strong background in both Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments, using gold-standard diagnostic tools.

Clinicians are supported by a dedicated in-house team, including case handlers and administrative support, as well as ongoing clinical supervision and guidance from our two Clinical Directors. This structure enables our team to focus on delivering gold-standard assessments with the confidence that operational and clinical support is always available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive assessments for Autism and/or ADHD
• Use standardised diagnostic tools including ADOS, ADI-R, ACE(+) and/or (Young) DIVA-5, and QB Check
• Interpret assessment findings and contribute to diagnostic decision-making
• Produce high-quality clinical reports
• Engage with clients and families in a compassionate and professional manner
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Optional Responsibilities if you are looking to offer Supervision:

• Act as a Lead Clinician during complex assessments, providing senior oversight and holding clinical responsibility for diagnostic decisions where appropriate.
• Model best practice and uphold the highest standards of professional conduct, data governance and ethical decision-making.
• Provide guidance, case consultation and clinical problem-solving for junior clinicians and assistant psychologists.
• Support the Clinical Directors in maintaining robust clinical pathways, quality assurance systems, and risk management processes.
• Provide clinical supervision to assistant psychologists and early-career staff.
• Offer peer supervision and reflective practice sessions as appropriate.
• Mentor and support professionals undertaking preceptorship, post-qualification development, or training in Autism and ADHD assessment tools.
• Deliver teaching or CPD workshops on neurodevelopmental assessment, formulation and neuroaffirming practice as appropriate.D. Quality Improvement & Service Development
• Contribute to audit cycles, outcome measurement, service evaluation and quality assurance processes, when required.
• Support ongoing development of assessment pathways, documentation templates, and clinical protocols.
• Assist in shaping a scalable, reproducible, neuroaffirming and high-quality diagnostic service model.

Essential Criteria:

• HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist
• Minimum of 2 years post-qualification clinical experience
• At least 1 years’ experience using all or a variety following assessment tools:
• ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule)
• ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised)
• ACE (+)
• (Young) DIVA-5
• QB Check (including result interpretation and scoring)
• Demonstrated expertise in Autism and/or ADHD diagnostic assessments
• Excellent report writing and diagnostic formulation skills

Desirable:

• Experience working in both NHS and/or independent diagnostic services
• Strong understanding of neurodevelopmental and co-occurring mental health conditions
• Experience conducting both ADHD/ASD and combined assessments using the above assessment tools across a wide age group would be advantageous
