Full job description

We are an expanding general practice team providing high-quality clinical services to over 16,000 patients through a combination of face-to-face and remote consultations.

Due to the continued development of our clinical service, we are looking to recruit two experienced and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) to join our team.

We have a combination of onsite and remote sessions available and are looking for two candidates who, between them, can provide the required cover across the week.

Importantly, both roles are hybrid clinical roles. Each successful candidate will be required to undertake a combination of onsite and remote working, with at least one onsite working day/session each week. Neither vacancy is available as a fully remote position.

Required Days / Sessions

Our current requirement includes:

  • Monday – Onsite X2
  • Wednesday – Remote
  • Thursday – Onsite
  • Thursday – Remote

The available sessions will be divided between the two successful candidates.

Each candidate must undertake: At least one onsite day/session and for all remote working sessions, availability is required until 8:00pm.

There is flexibility in how the remaining sessions and hours are divided between the two successful candidates. Depending on the days and sessions agreed, each role could range from approximately 15 to 30 hours per week.

Start and finish times can be discussed according to the sessions undertaken and the requirements of the service.

The Role

The successful candidates will provide primary care for presenting patients from initial history taking through to clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and appropriate follow-up.

You will demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and provide expert care while working collaboratively with our wider general practice team to meet the needs of patients both remotely and within the practice.

Experience in chronic disease management is essential.

You will be supported by GPs and other experienced clinicians onsite and within our wider clinical team.

What Do You Need?Essential

  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification
  • Independent Prescriber qualification
  • Previous GP practice / primary care experience
  • Minor Illness / Minor Injury skills
  • Strong autonomous clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Experience in chronic disease management

Desirable

  • Experience in gynaecological assessment
