Summary

The Estates Clinical Planning Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation and coordination of clinical estates facilities. The post holder will be primarily responsible for planning, organising,

overseeing and supporting all aspects of clinical estate management, ensuring a safe, compliant and optimal environment for patient care and clinical activities.

The post holder will be responsible for the coordination of project activities within the Estate Coordination team.

They will be required to effectively manage their own workload, prioritising multiple project activity and tasks appropriately to meet the needs of the Trust, the department and associated deadlines.

The Estates Clinical Planning Coordinator will coordinate and provide support and training for staff where required during project activities – particularly during change implementation phases. They will undertake designated requests for change and manage activities that are appropriate to the grade.

When required, the Estates Clinical Planning Coordinator will deputise for Coordination team members in their absence and bring to the attention of colleagues any urgent or potential issues that could cause disruption to planned business changes.

Responsibilities

Coordinate, develop and implement appropriate programme and project reporting to provide assurance to the team, managers as well as updating and maintaining trackers on a regular basis.

Coordinate and manage the planning, maintenance and utilisation of clinical estate facilities.

Collaborate with the Space Project Manager to develop and implement strategies to optimise space utilisation and workflow within clinical settings.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control standards.

Liaise with clinical staff, department heads and external contractors to address facility needs and issues.

Monitor and support the management of the budget for estate-related projects and expenditure, raising

PO’s and invoices as required.

Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments of clinical facilities to identify and mitigate potentialhazards.

Plan and oversee refurbishment and renovation projects to improve clinical environments.

Liaise with Clinical Coordination Experience and Involvement Facilitator to engage with patients and patientsafety advocates to ensure the estates are supporting patient comfort, privacy and safety.

Be responsible for the coordination, gathering and collating of accurate records related to capital projects and estates management activities.

Supporting the Head of Estates Clinical Coordination, project and team members in all aspects of their work including creating the Annual Capital Delivery Plan

  • Qualifications
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations related to estates.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and resources.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Experience with healthcare infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
