Full job description
At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Su pport Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. This position is kept under regular review and may change in the future should labour market conditions or service requirements alter.
Important information for applicants: To ensure clarity of accountability, scope of practice and professional responsibilities, the Trust does not normally appoint individuals holding active NMC or HCPC registration into Band 2 Clinical/AHP Support Worker, Band 3 Senior Clinical/AHP Support Worker or Band 4 AHP Support Worker/Technician roles. Registered nurses and Allied Health Professionals interested in joining UHNM are encouraged to explore our registered professional opportunities, which are advertised regularly across the Trust.
Do you have a passion for working with children and are looking for a new challenge?
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Staffordshire Children's Hospital at Royal Stoke University Hospital, (SCH@RSUH) for Senior Care Support Workers.
SCH@RSUH sits within the University Hospital of the North Midlands NHS Trust which serves the population of Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire and beyond providing both local and tertiary services.
We are looking for a compassionate, motivated, and patient‑centred Senior Care Support Workers to join our team at SCH@RSUH. You will play a vital role in supporting children, young people, and their families throughout their healthcare journey, ensuring high‑quality, safe, and holistic care.
Working under the supervision of registered nurses and other clinicians, you will help deliver hands‑on care, provide emotional reassurance, and contribute to creating a positive experience in our paediatric services.
Working in children's services means you’re not just providing care; you’re offering reassurance, building trust, and helping families feel safe in moments that can feel overwhelming. You’ll be part of a team where kindness, teamwork, and compassion are at the heart of everything we do.
University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is one of the largest and most modern in the country. Based across two sites, Royal Stoke in Stoke-on-Trent and County Hospital in Stafford, we are proud to serve around three million people and we're highly regarded for our facilities, teaching and research. We are the specialist centre for major trauma for the North Midlands and North Wales.
All of our employees make a valuable contribution regardless of role here at UHNM and we are proud of our wide range of development packages aimed at ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their true potential.
UHNM create and encourage a culture of inclusion, providing equal opportunities for career development that are fair and transparent. We are committed to being a diverse and inclusive employer and foster a culture in which all staff feel valued and respected. In return we ask all of our employees to make a commitment to the values, co-created by or staff, patients and carers, and that unite us as a Trust.
At University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust we know that investing in, supporting and developing our staff has a direct impact on the quality of care that we deliver. Our employees are as important as our patients and the population that we serve.
