About Us
HealthHarmonie, part of the Medinet Group, is a leading private healthcare provider dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients across the UK. We specialise in partnering with the NHS and ICBs to provide innovative healthcare solutions that improve patient outcomes and support effective healthcare delivery.
The Role
We are looking for a Patient Safety Advisor to support the delivery of our patient safety and clinical governance framework across the organisation.
Working closely with the clinical governance and operational teams, you will support the management of patient safety incidents, identify themes and learning, and help ensure that lessons are embedded into practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in patient safety, clinical governance and quality improvement who is looking to develop their career within a growing healthcare organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and ongoing delivery of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) across relevant services.
- Support the management, investigation and follow-up of patient safety incidents, ensuring actions and learning are appropriately recorded and monitored.
- Assist with identifying themes and trends from incidents, complaints, audits and other sources of patient safety information.
- Support the development of patient safety reports, dashboards and regular governance updates.
- Assist with coordinating patient safety reviews, thematic reviews and quality improvement activities.
- Monitor agreed actions arising from incidents, investigations, audits and governance meetings, ensuring these are followed up within agreed timescales.
- Support clinical and operational teams in identifying and sharing patient safety learning and best practice.
- Assist with preparation for CQC inspections, internal audits and quality reviews.
- Maintain accurate patient safety and governance records and ensure relevant documentation is kept up to date.
- Work collaboratively with clinical, operational and governance colleagues to promote a positive culture of learning and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Clinical experience within a healthcare setting, ideally as a Registered Nurse or other registered healthcare professional, with experience in clinical governance, quality or patient safety.
- Good understanding of patient safety principles and clinical governance processes.
- Awareness of PSIRF and NHS patient safety guidance.
- Understanding of CQC requirements and quality standards.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse information, identify trends and produce clear reports.
- Confident communicating with colleagues at different levels of the organisation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach with a genuine interest in improving patient safety and quality of care.
- Clinical experience or a relevant healthcare qualification would be advantageous.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary
- Hybrid working environment
- 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
- Opportunity to lead and develop a growing children's healthcare service
- Supportive and collaborative working environment
- Opportunities for professional development and progression
