Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and friendly Barista/All Rounder to join our team!

This role is perfect for someone who loves creating exceptional coffee experiences, engaging with customers, and supporting the daily operations of a bustling café environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests, at all times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages with precision and care
• Open alone (3 to 4 shifts a week) at 6:30am and bake pastry, check coffee extraction before opening for customers at 7am
• Assist in food preparation, including assembling sandwiches, eggs, and baked goods
• Ensure all food safety standards are consistently met to maintain hygiene and quality
• Serve customers efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service
• Manage cash register operations, handle transactions accurately, and give correct change
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment throughout shifts
• Support team members during busy periods by multitasking effectively and managing time efficiently

Requirements

• Previous barista experience is essential; enthusiasm to further improve is key!
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
• Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced setting with excellent communication skills
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory checks
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
• Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as lifting supplies or cleaning
• A positive attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
• Able to work all weekends (days off work are during the week).

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 – 42.0 per week
