Assistant Manager / Duty Manager – Specialty Coffee Shop

Location: Troon, South AyrshireJob Type: Permanent, Part-Time (approximately 21 hours per week with opportunities for additional hours to cover holidays and busy periods)Pay: £13.50 per hour + performance bonus opportunities

Join an Independent Specialty Coffee Business

We’re looking for an exceptional Assistant Manager / Duty Manager to help lead our busy independent specialty coffee shop in Troon.

This isn’t just another café job. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys creating an amazing customer experience, leading a small team, and taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the shop. You’ll be trusted to make decisions, maintain high standards, and help grow the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

● Leading shifts and taking full responsibility for the café when on duty.

● Delivering consistently excellent customer service.

● Supporting, motivating and training the team.

● Making outstanding espresso-based coffees and other drinks.

● Maintaining exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards.

● Opening and closing the café.

● Managing stock levels and placing orders when required.

● Helping reduce waste and improve profitability.

● Handling customer feedback professionally.

● Ensuring all food safety and health & safety procedures are followed.

● Looking for opportunities to improve sales and the overall customer experience.

What We’re Looking For

● Previous experience supervising or managing in a café, coffee shop or hospitality environment.

● Specialty coffee experience is highly desirable (or a genuine willingness to learn).
