Full job description

What we’re looking for General Manger for our Medicine site in central Birmingham .

The successful candidate will be a born leader with previous managerial experience and strong barista skills.

You will need to be an expert communicator with a strong ability to delegate responsibilities and lead by example. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to ensure high morale and productivity across the entire team.

The General Manager will oversee the daily operations of the business, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive profitability. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Overseeing all aspects of daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and facilities maintenance.
  • Work in partnership with Site Management Team.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Be an impeccable team leader and foster a positive and supportive work environment, promote teamwork, and empower team members to excel in their roles.
  • Take an active role in quality control at your site ensuring that products and services meet Medicine high standards and exceed guest expectations.
  • Delegate responsibilities to the most appropriate employees whilst enforcing all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values.
  • Host and effectively run events.

The following skills and qualifications are also a must:

  • Proven experience in a hospitality management.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to motivate and lead people
  • Strong working knowledge of hospitality operational procedures
  • Our management team at Medicine should have a strong understanding of industry trends, best practices, and regulations.
