Café Assistant

Silver Birch Golf Club – Betws yn Rhos
£Competitive | Permanent | 4-5 Days Per Week

Silver Birch Golf Club is looking for a friendly and reliable Café Assistant to join our team.

This is a varied role where you'll be serving golfers and visitors, preparing food and drinks, operating the coffee machine, taking payments, and helping to create a welcoming atmosphere within our clubhouse.

Duties Include:

  • Preparing and serving breakfast baps and full English breakfasts
  • Making sandwiches, paninis, and hearty home-cooked meals
  • Operating the coffee machine and preparing hot drinks
  • Serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Taking customer orders and payments
  • Providing excellent customer service to golfers and visitors
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
  • Assisting with stock replenishment and daily café operations

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in hospitality, catering, retail, or customer service is desirable
  • Friendly, professional, and customer-focused
  • Able to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Reliable with a positive attitude
  • Comfortable working in a busy environment

Essential Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or over due to the sale of alcohol
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle due to the rural location of the golf club and limited public transport links

Working Hours:

  • 8:00am – 6:00pm
  • 4-5 days per week
  • Weekend work required on a rota basis
