Overview

We are looking for an energetic, proactive and supportive person to join our team as a supervisor. Providero Coffeehouse is a pair of award winning coffee shops (and now a coffee roasters!) on the North Wales Coast. Prov acts as a community hub for our regular customers and visitors to the area alike.

We always look to hire team who are friendly, outgoing and genuine. We require good hospitality experience for this supervisor role, with speciality coffee knowledge and experience being preffered.

We expect our supervisors to be able to work at both of our sites, in Llandudno and Llandudno Junction.

Here are some of the responsibilities you'll expect as part of the role:

On Shift

- Key holder responsibilities: Opening and closing of the coffeehouse and ensuring the building is secure at all times. Making sure all windows and doors are locked at the end of the day.

- Open/Close: Leading the set-up of the coffeehouse in the morning and the breakdown at the end of the day. Ensuring the coffeehouse is clean and presentable for the following morning – what would you like to walk in to in the morning?

- Dialling-in: Make sure that the coffees have been dialled in in the morning. Follow given recipes but also suggest changes if necessary.

- Supervise: Supervise the Team and delegate tasks amongst the team equally and fairly. Manage lunch breaks in a sensible, well-timed way.

- Training: Assist in the training of new team and coaching of existing team. Provide feedback as a gift and receive it as such. Feedback should be given as and when issues arise, then communicated to the manager.

- Quality: Make certain that all products being served to customers are of the highest possible quality.

- Customer Engagement: Ensure that all customers receive equal and exceptional service. Provide everyone who walks in with the “Prov Experience”, and ensure that the team do the same. How would you like to be served in another coffee shop?

- Demeanour: Be polite, professional, and well-presented. Be caring, supportive and approachable. Be assertive, decisive, and exemplary.

Compliance

- Appearance/Presentation: Ensure the appearance and presentation of the coffeehouses are always maintained. Resolve any issues immediately where possible.

- Reporting: Report any issues to the coffeehouse Manager, whether they be procedure, Health and Safety, team related etc.

- Learning: Complete all relevant Food Hygiene and H&S training. Show eagerness to learn and discover more about speciality coffee and be ready to share this with the rest of the team.

- H&S on shift: Help to ensure that the coffeehouses are fully compliant with H&S and Food Hygiene guidelines. Report any issues/rectify issues where possible.

- Allergen Handling: As supervisor, you are the port of call for allergen enquiries and should check any and all ingredients when customers state they have an allergy.

- Paperwork: Make sure the daily checks are completed, as well as that day’s specific cleaning task. File away completed paperwork in the relevant folders and print off new paperwork when needed.

- Temperatures: Ensure that fridge and freezer temperature checks are completed daily and any issues investigated/reported.

Financial

- Cash up/Open Till: Cash up the till at the end of the day, making sure that the banking has been checked multiple times to guarantee correct recording. Report any significant variances to coffeehouse Manager.

- Stock: Assist in the maintenance of stock levels and complete relevant orders when needed. With any stock that does not fall under your responsibility, ensure that the manager is aware of any shortages, damages etc.

- Rotation: Make sure new stock is rotated appropriately and any wastage is recorded. Ensure that new stock coming in is put away tidily in the correct location.

Pay: From £13.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
