Full job description

Job Overview
We are looking for some lovely people to join our team at Latitude Festival (23-26th July). We have roles on our coffee unit (ideally barista trained) and also our pizza unit. Must have own camping gear and be familiar with festival trading - the shifts are long and can be very busy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality catering services at Latitude festival on either our coffee or pizza unit, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining food safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, combining culinary skills with excellent customer service.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of meals and beverages in accordance with company standards and customer preferences
  • Set up catering stations at different locations, ensuring all equipment and ingredients are ready for service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the mobile catering unit, adhering to food safety regulations
  • Long shifts 10 - 12hrs
  • Assist with food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and plating dishes
  • Serve customers efficiently and courteously, providing excellent customer service
  • Manage stock levels, restocking supplies as needed during service
  • Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed throughout the operation
  • Pack up the mobile unit at the end of each shift, ensuring it is clean and secure for transportation

Experience

  • Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of meal preparation, food safety standards, and kitchen procedures
  • Experience in food preparation and serving in a fast-paced setting is advantageous
  • Familiarity with culinary techniques and food presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a mobile or outdoor setting
  • Level 2 in food hygiene
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout service
  • Barista experience for our coffee unit is a must

This role is for Latitude Festival, with other possible festivals throughout the summer for the right candidate. The dates for Latitude festival are: 23-26th July. Please mention previous festival experience.

Pay: £13.50 per hour
