Full job description

The Foundation Learning Department is dedicated to supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), including those facing barriers to learning and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. Our provision places the needs of SEND learners at its heart, delivering highly personalised, inclusive programmes that enable every individual to thrive, develop confidence, and achieve their potential.

We are seeking a committed and highly skilled practitioner who is passionate about working with learners with SEND. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, adaptive teaching, learning and assessment that is responsive to a wide range of additional needs. You will play a central role in removing barriers to learning, promoting independence, and supporting learners to develop essential life and employability skills.

The post holder will be responsible for creating inclusive, aspirational learning experiences that motivate and engage SEND learners, supporting their personal development and readiness for adulthood. A strong focus will be placed on developing transferable skills, raising aspirations, and supporting progression into further education, employment or training, with Catering offering one of a number of valuable and practical progression pathways.
