Job Summary

italk have an exciting Collections advisor position available! This role involves outbound and inbound calls, speaking to existing customers. We aim to save people money and provide excellent UK based Customer Service. The role will involve managing your own work list of customers with the aim of resolving payment issues with their accounts. This will involve answering inbound calls from our customers on a range of queries they may have regarding their billing or payment methods. You will also be expected to contact customers with unpaid bills who have fallen in to arrears, with the aim of securing payment and clearing their balance. This may involve taking payment over the phone or setting up a payment plan to suit the customer and company.

This role offers uncapped commission, incentives and bonuses!

Duties

  • Contact clients to follow up on overdue accounts
  • Negotiate payment plans and arrangements to recover outstanding debts
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions on our systems
  • Process payments and update account information promptly in the system
  • Collaborate with internal departments
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations during all collection activities
  • Provide excellent phone etiquette when communicating with clients, maintaining professionalism at all times
  • Generate reports on collection activities and outcomes for management review
  • Meet and exceed targets

Requirements

  • Previous experience in debt collections is essential
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent analysis skills to assess account status and determine appropriate actions
  • Effective telemarketing skills combined with professional phone etiquette
  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality
  • Organised approach to workload management, prioritising tasks effectively
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
