Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the catering and hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation, a keen eye for food safety, and a proactive attitude to assist in various kitchen operations. Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation and food presentation to ensure timely service
  • Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks and ingredient handling
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and equipment
  • Follow food safety standards and hygiene protocols at all times
  • Help with the organisation of ingredients, supplies, and utensils to optimise workflow
  • Serve food to guests in accordance with established procedures
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to during daily operations
  • Support in cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen appliances as required

Experience

  • Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food service is desirable but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is beneficial
  • Experience with meal preparation, cooking, or culinary tasks will be considered an advantage
  • Familiarity with working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple responsibilities efficiently
