Commis Chef - Fresh Food Kitchen, Live in Available, 4 days on, 3 days off, 48 hour week. £31k plus tronc

Climping, Littlehampton West Sussex, Own transport ideally.

We are looking for a passionate Commis Chef to join our professional brigade in a busy fresh food kitchen producing high quality dishes made entirely from scratch.

You will be working in a well organised kitchen, (brigade of 6 to 8) led by an experienced Head Chef within a stable independent hospitality group known for maintaining high standards and a supportive working environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Commis Chef who wants to develop their skills in a proper fresh food kitchen while working alongside a strong and experienced team.

The Role

As a Commis Chef you will assist across sections in a busy kitchen that produces high quality fresh food using seasonal ingredients, with all preparation done in-house by the team. You will gain experience working with fresh ingredients while developing your technical skills within a professional and structured kitchen environment.

Salary and Benefits

  • £31k plus approx £4k in tronc per year
  • 48 hour week
  • 4 days on, 3 days off rota
  • Live in available at £76 per week including all bills
  • Meals on duty
  • Free parking

  • 28 days holiday

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience working in a fresh food kitchen such as a hotel, gastro pub or high end restaurant.
  • Passion for cooking and developing your skills
  • Good organisation and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and reliability
  • Ability to work well as part of a professional team.

Due to the location, own transport ideally or reliable travel to the venue is strongly preferred particularly for a trial shift. Trial shift will be from 9.00am/9.30am until 2pm/2.30pm.
