Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Care Workers to join our team in Derry/Londonderry. This role involves providing high-quality support and assistance to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being. All positions are paid, and offer an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

We have flexible rotas to suit all - mornings 07:00 - 14:30: afternoons 14:30 - 18:30 and evening rotas from 19:00 -23:00. Any or all of these rotas can be worked. Full information provided at interview stage.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised care plans tailored to each individual's needs, including assistance with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
  • Support Service Users with medication administration and health monitoring as required
  • Assist with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary requirements are met
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment
  • Document care activities accurately and report any concerns to senior staff

We work off a 4/3 rota pattern, as follows: -

Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday

Week 2 - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

No qualifications or experience are necessary as full bespoke training will be provided

Essential

  • Full driving licence and access to a motor vehicle
  • Great communication skills
  • Able to promote and deliver person centered care
  • Able to promote dignity and respect when delivering care
  • Be well organised/professional/caring
  • Interested in working in the community within Health and Social Care
  • Care about the community they live in

Desirable

QCF level 3 in H & SC

Previous paid caring experience
