Full job description

Are you passionate about healthcare quality, compliance, and making a real difference to patient care?

We are looking for a proactive and motivated Quality and Locations Compliance Officer to join our growing Quality Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in healthcare quality, governance, compliance, and patient safety while gaining hands-on experience across a range of clinical services.

Working closely with Service Managers, clinical teams, and operational colleagues, you will support the delivery of safe, effective, and compliant services across an allocated portfolio of clinic locations. You will play a key role in monitoring quality standards, conducting audits, supporting governance processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that positively impact patient experience and service performance.

If you are ambitious, eager to learn, and looking for a role with genuine progression opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing:

Quality Assurance & Compliance

You will act as a key quality and compliance resource for allocated clinic locations by:

  • Conducting routine site visits, compliance audits, and quality reviews.
  • Monitoring compliance against organisational, contractual, and regulatory standards.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and supporting teams to implement actions.
  • Tracking and monitoring actions arising from audits, inspections, and reviews.
  • Maintaining accurate audit records and compliance documentation.
  • Supporting services to maintain inspection readiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Escalating significant risks, concerns, or recurring issues to the Quality Manager.

Governance & Quality Support

You'll help strengthen governance processes across the organisation through:

  • Supporting the delivery of the clinical governance framework.
  • Coordinating governance meetings, including agendas, minutes, and action tracking.
  • Assisting with clinical audit programmes and reporting activities.
  • Supporting policy, procedure, and SOP reviews.
  • Helping services prepare for inspections, external audits, and commissioner visits.

Complaints, Incidents & Patient Safety

You will contribute to a culture of learning and improvement by:

  • Maintaining complaints, incident, and significant event tracking systems.
  • Supporting investigations and information gathering.
  • Assisting with reports, responses, and governance documentation.
  • Monitoring actions arising from complaints and incidents.
  • Identifying trends and themes to support organisational learning.
  • Promoting the sharing of lessons learned across teams.

Quality Improvement

You will actively support initiatives that drive service excellence by:

  • Assisting with quality improvement projects across services and locations.
  • Collecting and analysing quality and performance data.
  • Supporting improvements identified through audits, incidents, complaints, and feedback.
  • Promoting best practice and continuous learning across teams.

Information Governance

You will help ensure compliance with information governance requirements by:

  • Supporting Subject Access Requests (SARs), Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, and data rectification requests.
  • Maintaining information governance records and documentation.
  • Supporting compliance with organisational information governance policies.
  • Working with the Data Protection Officer as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, analytical, and passionate about improving quality within healthcare services.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience within healthcare quality, governance, compliance, audit, or administration.
  • Experience working in a healthcare, community, primary care, or regulated environment.
  • Understanding of quality assurance, governance, and compliance processes.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to analyse information and identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic information systems.
  • Willingness to travel regularly between clinic locations.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting audits, inspections, or compliance reviews.
  • Experience supporting complaints, incidents, or governance activities.
  • Experience contributing to quality improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of CQC requirements, NHS governance, and healthcare compliance frameworks.
  • Understanding of patient safety principles and PSIRF.
  • Aspiration to progress into a Quality Lead or Quality Manager position.

Why Join Us?

This is more than a compliance role. It's an opportunity to develop into a future leader within healthcare quality and governance.

We are committed to investing in our people and supporting career progression through structured development, mentoring, and practical experience.
