Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Gardener to join our small, collaborative team. Working with the team and Estate owner Estate manager and garden designer. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with practical experience in gardening tasks on a private estate. . Applicants should be organised, reliable, and enthusiastic about working with plants and garden landscapes.

Full driving license required and ideally PA1 and PA6

The garden is an exceptional, horticulturally diverse private estate. The grounds encompass stunning borders filled with shrubs, trees and perennials, alongside a serene woodland garden with a stream and large pond, a densley planted steep bank, formal hedges, topiary and extensive lawns

Duties

  • Operating hand tools, power tools, and ride on garden equipment
  • Maintenance of water features
  • Lawn cutting verticutting weed control and feeding
  • Maintaining garden equipment through cleaning and basic repairs
  • maintaining cleanliness and weeding of paths paving and entrance drive
  • Ensuring all outdoor areas are kept tidy, safe, and visually appealing
  • Proven experience in gardening or horticulture is preferred, ideally 3 years or more
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools such as shears, spades, rakes, and shovels
  • Experience operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, strimmers and leaf blowers
  • Assisting with woodland path management
  • Assisting with hand watering
  • Assisting with leaf collection and composting and mulching
  • Weeding planting areas
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and as part of a small tea

Pay: £17.00-£20.00 per hour
