Full job description

We are looking for a Laptop Repair Technician to join our team and learn the skills necessary for repairing laptops. As a trainee, you will work under the supervision of experienced technicians and gain hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining laptops. This role is ideal for someone passionate about technology and eager to build a career in laptop repair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learning and Training: Assist senior technicians in performing repairs on laptops and gain exposure to various laptop models and brands.
  • Diagnostic Support: Help with basic diagnostics on faulty laptops by identifying common hardware and software issues under supervision.
  • Component Replacement: Learn to replace or repair laptop components such as screens, keyboards, hard drives, and batteries.
  • Software Troubleshooting: Gain experience with operating system installations, software updates, virus removal, and troubleshooting.
  • Customer Support: Interact with customers to gather information about laptop issues and provide updates on repair status under the guidance of senior technicians.
  • Testing and Quality Checks: Support the testing process of repaired laptops to ensure that they are functioning properly.
  • Repair Tools Maintenance: Learn how to use repair tools and equipment properly and help with the maintenance and organization of tools and parts.
  • Learning Documentation: Document work done and repairs completed, ensuring proper records are maintained for customer service and warranty purposes.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a technical certification in computer hardware, IT, or electronics is a plus.
  • Interest in Technology: A passion for technology and troubleshooting laptop hardware and software.
  • Willingness to Learn: Strong desire to learn new skills and gain hands-on experience in laptop repair.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision, paying attention to small components and technical details.
  • Communication Skills: Basic communication skills to interact with customers and teammates.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well within a team environment and take direction from senior technicians.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to approach issues methodically and learn how to apply solutions.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

  • Basic understanding of laptop hardware and operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS).
  • Familiarity with laptop repair tools and equipment.
  • Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., IT support or hardware troubleshooting) is a plus but not required.

Must have previous experience working and repairing Phones, Desktop PC's and Laptops PC's
